Program Outline
Chimes Aviation Academy (CAA) is honored to partner with IndiGo, India’s largest airline, to offer the prestigious IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program.
This all-inclusive program covers everything from
Ground School to Type Rating. Upon completion, cadets
are fully prepared to start their careers as Junior
First Officers with IndiGo.
With a focus on excellence, the IndiGo
Cadet Pilot Program at CAA ensures that each cadet
receives top-notch training and personalized support
throughout their journey. The program is designed to
meet the highest industry standards, providing
students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel
in their roles and contribute effectively to IndiGo's
esteemed operations.
The Program is divided into three phases
Ground School Training
In this phase, you'll attend theory classes for all DGCA and WPC exams at our Ground School in Gurugram. The comprehensive curriculum includes:
- Aviation Meteorology
- Air Regulations
- Air Navigation
- Technical General
- Technical specific (Single Engine)
- Radio Telephony
- Aviation English Language Proficiency (AELP)
Flight Training (CPL - SE/IR)
During this phase, flight training is conducted at our air bases in Dhana and Neemuch, using our state-of-the-art fleet of Cessna 172, Piper Archer DX, and Diamond DA42 aircraft. Cadets also train on DGCA-approved aircraft simulators as part of their flight training.
Modules include
- 185 hours on all Single Engine Aircraft
- 15 hours on Diamond DA 42 Multi-Engine Aircraft
- 30 hours of Simulator Flying
Type Rating
After obtaining their Commercial Pilot License (CPL), cadets advance to Airbus A320 training, including Multi-Crew Coordination (MCC) and Jet Orientation Training (JOT), at a TRTO partner approved by IndiGo.
Eligibility
10+2 with at least 51% in each subject (Physics, Mathematics, English) or Grade Point 6 / Grade C1 (CBSE).
For foreign qualifications, obtain an academic equivalency certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) mark sheets are accepted with a minimum score of 51% in Mathematics, Physics, and English individually.
Between 18 and 32 years of age
Valid Indian DGCA Class I Medical Certificate.
Valid Indian Passport
Criminal Record Check (CRC) Basic Disclosure Certificate.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Assessment & Selection Process
Our selection process includes the following stages:
After meeting the eligibility criteria, the candidates will be called for the following states of assessment:
Candidates will undergo the ADAPT Assessment at our specialized ADAPT center. This online psychometric and aptitude test is designed to evaluate the behavioral and cognitive skills necessary for a career in aviation.
Assessment Fee: INR 30,000 (Thirty Thousand Rupees).
In this phase, candidates participate in a Group Task Assessment to demonstrate their teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
Candidates who excel in previous stages will attend personal interviews with IndiGo Panellists. This is an opportunity to discuss their goals and experiences.
Upon successfully completing these stages, candidates will be invited to enroll and sign the Letter of Intent (LoI) with IndiGo.
