The sky isn’t the limit; it’s just the start at Chimes Aviation Academy!

1. Check Your Eligibility

Before taking flight, ensure you meet the prerequisites: educational background, age criteria, and medical fitness standards set by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in India.

2. Choose Your License & Program

Decide whether you want a Private Pilot License (PPL) or a Commercial Pilot License (CPL). Select a program that aligns with your goals. CAA offers various ab initio programs for both PPL and CPL.

3. Obtain Your DGCA Computer Number

The Computer Number is essential for registering for DGCA exams and correspondence with the DGCA. Apply early, as the process can take over a month. Ensure you have the necessary documentation or a valid Computer Number when applying to CAA.

4. Complete the CAA Application Form

Submit your application form through CAA’s website. Keep an eye on updates via Social Media, the Website, and email newsletters. The form will require details such as educational qualifications, Medical Examination certificates, and other important documents.

5. Navigate the CAA Application Process

Once your application is reviewed, you may be invited to Ground School in Gurgaon, Haryana, for the ADAPT test. The final stages include an interview with the CAA admission panel and Group Discussions. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive your reporting date for Ground School induction.

Build a solid foundation with theoretical training and prepare for DGCA exams. This phase covers Air Regulations, Navigation, and more. At CAA, this training typically spans 6-8 months.

7. Engage in Hands-on Flying Training at CAA

Gain practical experience in the cockpit under the guidance of expert instructors. This hands-on training ensures you’re well-prepared for real-world flying scenarios, going beyond textbook knowledge.

8. Accumulate Quality Flight Hours
